I am currently pursuing my Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science at Elmira College, where I will be graduating in June of 2017. While my concentration is in American Politics, I am also interested in sociology, education and women's studies. These students have cultivated within me an immense passion for social justice as well as effective communication skills. I am a leader on campus and am involved with numerous societies and clubs that demonstrate my versatility as a citizen and student. These include serving as the Public Relations Chair on the Student Association Board, the President of the Amnesty International Chapter at Elmira College, the Secretary and formerly Vice-President of the Elmira College Democrats, and the Secretary and Special Events Chair of the Elmira College Chiclettes, Elmira's only all-female acapella group. My ultimate career goals being able to wake up every morning and know that I am going to help contribute to social change. As a student IT consultant, I work directly with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that they are able to effectively use the academic technology provided to them. This includes not only basic troubleshooting, but assisting the multimedia specialists during events, checking out equipment for students and faculty to use, and providing basic IT consultation to the Elmira College community.
