Benjamin Webster

Member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi
From Beltsville, Maryland
When I was 11 years old, my town was hit with a snow storm. Struck with no power and an opportunity to earn money, I went out to shovel my neighbor's driveways. My neighbors were taken aback by my size and age but gave me the job because they recognized my initiative and ambition. In 3 hours, I was able to make over $120 by myself. Through this experience, I learned that I can not only make money but make a large impact in my community through business. This is where my love for business began. Today, I possess the same entrepreneurial attitude and am a driven, self-starter. I offer value through hard work, excellent teamwork, management, and leadership skills, and a strong desire to perform beyond expectations. I am currently an Honors Senior at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore studying Marketing. My professional interests include furthering businesses through strategic management and analysis. My experience includes a Marketing internship with John Deere, a fellowship with Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT), an Ambassador role as an with the US Department of Education and Thurgood Marshall College Fund, and a study abroad experience in Shanghai, China, and more. Currently, I am a White House HBCU All-Star, a Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Student Ambassador and Scholar, President for Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS), and the President of Uniquely Defined. My recent honors include receiving the Thurgood Marshall College Fund: Altria Scholarship, the Exemplary Entrepreneur Scholarship from the PRT Reach Foundation, and the Award of Excellence from the School of Business and Technology. I am actively seeking employment opportunities and connections via LinkedIn.
