Student at Rochester Institute of Technology majoring in ASL-English interpretation, minoring in Psychology
I am currently a student at the Rochester Institute of Technology going for a BA degree in Sign Language Interpretation and a PHD in Psychology. My goal is to become a Psychologist for the Hearing Impaired and Deaf populations. I believe that it is hard enough to open up to a Psychologist to reap the benefits, but with an interpreter there, you have to tell a third party your issues, and you may not get accurately translated. This profession gives me the ability to get rid of the middle man, and sit down with the client and help them in the most efficient way.
