Brianna Polner

Majoring in Nursing
Southern Arkansas University, Class of 2020
From Benton
The transition from high school to college is a difficult phase in one's life. You are left with making the hardest decision you possibly could: what do I want to do for the rest of my life? That is the million dollar question. That was my dilemma. I knew I wanted to do something child related, I just didn't know what. I thought of teaching, but that didn't seem completely right for me. While on vacation in South Carolina, I looked through all of the majors and researched each as I found ones that interested me. I saw the Nursing major and dove into everything there was to know about it and I found that was the right choice. At Southern Arkansas University, I'm going to be a Nursing major. That is my answer to the million dollar question.

While job shadowing at ACH, I learned the true meaning of being a nurse. I watched as the nurses completed procedures that were needed. I saw them follow the schedules to hand out medication to the patients and I saw them chart for each patient they were taking care of.
