Peer Service Wellness Ambassador (PWA) at Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program
Being a PWA for Middle Earth, we're primarily responsible for the coordination of agency-wide programming efforts, seasonal preventative theme weeks, and peer wellness coaching.
We're trained to take a motivational, positively-focused perspective in order to help students generate goals and gain awareness about their overall well-being. Peer educators also complete outreach to the broader campus community via exhibits, presentations, workshops and peer theater performances.
Some of the things we handle are drugs and alcohol, dating and relationships, study skills, suicide prevention, healthy coping skills, diversity, and other issues.
