•Co-coordinator of a dental health / oral hygiene initiative that encompasses prevention at the core of its curriculum. •Designer of a ten week program for 3 year old Head Start children that includes lessons, mini lab activities, and planting and harvesting produce in a nearby garden. •The program encourages children to adopt a more savory, less processed diet and aims to help children develop healthy oral habits that will follow into adulthood.

•Using Dentrix software, I analyze the practice’s accounts receivable (A/R) and track family and insurance balances. •I run Insurance Aging Reports and general Aging Reports and subsequently contact patients and insurance companies for collection. •I submit new claims and track outstanding claims on a weekly basis.

•I observe all aspects of specialist dentistry including the placement of dental implants, restorations, dental crowns, veneers and bridges, endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, maxillofacial, and hygiene therapy. In addition, I am exposed to clinical photography, charting, note writing, and data collation. •I witness procedures, assist in setting up and breaking down rooms, replenishing stock and in sterilization. •I greet and seat patients and exemplify proper chair side etiquette. •I investigate how a private dental practice operates in the shadows of the NHS and how technique, procedures, and treatment in the UK differ from those in the United States.
