Dance Team FLC

The Fort Lewis College Dance Team performs at sporting events such as home football games and basketball games. We're working on building up our team in order to promote spirit and pride in Fort Lewis. For the team, I contribute choreography and work in and out of practice to plan team activities and events.

Aging Population

I volunteered at a local senior center to spend time and plan activities with a group of elders for a semester. This was a great experience because it was important to learn that you cannot stereotype an entire age group. Not all elders are grumpy / sweet, they're different human beings like they always have been.

Life Skills Group

In high school I loved volunteering to plan activities and work with our Life Skills Group, which consisted of teens with disabilities ranging from physical to intellectual. It was great to experience people who learn and go about life in different ways just like we all do. I made great friends in the group and memories that enhanced my high school life with even more of an appreciation for people from all different walks of life.

Dance Team

I joined my high school's dance team my freshman year and became Captain my sophomore year. This team was one of the most important achievements and activities in high school because I made life-long relationships and really contributed to something more than myself. During my time spent as Captain, we took home state titles, first places, and represented our school in the most spirited and positive light.

Office Assistant at Michelle Celeste

I collaborate with faculty in the psychology, teacher education, and math departments with various tasks such as research assistance, copying / scanning class lessons, shredding, recycling, etc. I enjoy getting to know so many professors on a level other than in the classroom.

I worked in food service taking customer's orders, cooking food, cleaning the restaurant, and handling customer complaints and concerns. I enjoyed my time here because I made a family at work and learned the importance of food service and how to properly handle customers and their comments.
