Colin Hautman

Majored in Communication Studies
James Madison University, Class of 2015
From Bethesda, MD
I am fun loving, free spirited and no excuses kind of guy. I am a graduating senior at James Madison University majoring in Communication with a focus in Public Relations. I transferred from Montgomery Community College in Rockville, MD after receiving my associate's degree in communication. As for future plans, I hope to one day work in the advertising and PR field with entertainment, food or tourism. I am involved in PRSSA, UPB and MAAF on campus here at JMU. I was born in Washington D.C. and raised in Bethesda, MD. I love everything to do with movies, music and writing. My favorite movie is Donnie Darko. My favorite genre of music is Indie Rock. And back in high school I wrote a book titled, "Suburban Riot," in hopes of getting published soon. Some claims to fame that I have are: I am part of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, I received the Norma Berkeley Communication Studies Award and I have never been beaten in a game of Mario Kart Double Dash (84-0). If you were to ask someone to sum up my personality in five words they would say: passionate, extroverted, team-player, creative and a go-getter.
