Internal Communications Specialist at Ecolab Inc. (ECL)

To support internal communications at Ecolab, I use various channels to circulate information. A large portion of my time goes toward writing stories and articles, as well as creating graphics, for the company intranet, INSIDE. I also write for the company magazine, named Impact and compile and circulate newsletters called Ecolab This Week and Insider using ExactTarget. Additionally, I use the content management system Sitecore to make updates to the intranet.

Public Relations and Communications Specialist at CenterPoint Energy

Contracted position I wrote various press releases, media advisories, news stories and company newsletters that had to do with community events the company was involved in and sponsored, as well as company updates. I also worked on the company's social media platforms to create excitement for events and to gain a larger public following. I wrote and used key messaging to target both the company values and the mission in internal and external communications. I also worked events in the community and maintained relations with public figures. Lastly, I served as the company's safe, clean-burning, and efficient mascot, Buddy Blue Flame.
