Project Ready is a signature program of the National Urban League (NUL) that seeks to provide enhanced academic and social support to students ages 11-18, as they prepare for post-secondary success. Students are expected to make academic progress, benefit from cultural enrichment opportunities, and be trained for school navigational and life skills development. The Project Ready Post-Secondary Success Program is a unique and comprehensive approach to addressing the academic, personal, and social needs of African American students.

As a 2017 Corps Member of Teach For America, my job is to be a role model, advocate, and teacher to underserved populations in the Low-country of South Carolina. TFA is more than just a 2 year commitment, but a lifelong opportunity to reform the educational system so that every child gets the education they rightfully deserve.

-Provide in-class facilitation for CU 1010, educating students on academic strategies, campus resources, and self-management tools. -Facilitate discussion with students about academic and self-management difficulties, providing skills and strategies for improvement in a one-on-one and group setting. -Collaborate with other Peer Success Leaders and ASC staff to present workshops and other educational programming to students and campus-constituents. -Assist the ASC with any on-campus events, promoting the mission and vision of the Academic Success Center and Clemson University. -Observe ASC staff in classrooms and interactions with students to learn the practice of presenting and coaching.
