I had the incredible opportunity for this summer job out in the desert of Arizona. Castleman and Young Construction is a hotel remodeling business that travels all over the United States renovating hotels. Due to space restriction I will narrow my daily duties down to the best of my ability. I am constantly doing something new each day which can range from building a new wall, to installing new showerheads, to troubleshooting the electronics around the job site, to name only a few things. My boss has also allowed me to handle the payroll for his crew and at the end of each pay week we sit down together and go over everything we have done and what we need to accomplish in the upcoming work week to stay on track for the job finishing deadline. I have also assisted in ordering new material, tracking down late material, and handling invoices for said materials. I have also been responsible for inventory control and making sure we were never short on anything that may slow us down on any particular workday.

I am a part of the federal work study program here at Clemson University. I work in the parking and transportation services office. My duties will range from helping somebody with a parking ticket they have received, to informing them about rules and regulations regarding parking on campus at Clemson University. Tasks may also include helping with finacial duties and revising monetary transaction documents to assure that we are running under a glitch free system.
