Erin Taylor

Hello, my name is Erin Taylor. I am currently a Nursing student at Clemson University. The Clemson University Nursing Program is only 1 of 35 other programs in the United States with a certification of excellence. I plan to graduate in 2016 with my Bachelors degree. At Clemson I have been a member for Tigers of Tigers and the Student Nurses Association and do weightlifting at least four times a week. I am currently on the Deans list at Clemson University. In addition to educational qualifications, I also have experience in the medical field. I volunteered in the Hematology and Oncology Department at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA for four months in both 2008 and 2010. In 2012 I was a Research Associate in the Research Department at the VA Medical Center in 2012 and an Animal Care Technician in the same department in 2013. I was required to complete CITI training for these jobs. My volunteer experiences allowed my to get comfortable working and communicating with patients and my employment at the hospital taught me sterile technique and to complete prioritized tasks in a quick, yet effective manner.
