Francesco Palumbo was recognized for earning an academic award
Male Make-A-Difference Award Francesco Palumbo, Baseball Francesco Palumbo, a sophomore on the baseball team, is not only a student-athlete but a constant face of the Athletics department. He is continually involved with different aspects of the department whether it be competition, keeping stats, interviewing student-athletes for videos for the website or editing video footage for highlights. Last year his blog of the baseball team's trip to Florida garnered over 100,000 hits. This year he was crucial in the preparation and implementation of the inaugural Clemente Cup in Puerto Rico. From sending out e-mails weeks ahead of time to every baseball coach in Division III, drafting press releases to promote the Cup, helping to ensure that video and live stats could be made available to fans back home, he made sure it would be a success. He also documented everything that happened during the Puerto Rico trip in another fantastic blog that the Clemente's will use to help promote future tournaments. He spearheaded the creation of Roos Sports Media and has spent hours editing and creating dozens of highlight videos for the website. His knowledge and expertise has been so exceptional that he has trained other students in video editing. This person always has a smile on his face and puts others before himself. He is one of the hardest working people to ever set foot on SUNY Canton's campus.

Beyond the Mastermind of Jeff Coffin
In June/July 2015 I began corresponding with the saxophonist of the Dave Matthews Band, Mr. Jeff Coffin. I would like to thank both Mr. Coffin, and Mr. Brian Horner for being so gracious towards me in all of our communications back and forth. In the time I had to talk with him, it was extremely evident that Mr. Coffin is passionate about expressing and sharing his love of music. With that being said, I have spent countess hours fine-tuning this article in order to display Mr. Coffin in the most respectful and supportive manner, and I hope that is evident. This story was published in the St. Lawrence Plaindealer, North Country Now, and Watertown Daily Times. Mr. Coffin also tweeted it from his professional account.

The First Annual Clemente Cup in Puerto Rico
This serves as a visual tour of the events and festivities for those of you who were unable to come along with us. As you might imagine (and will soon see partially), I enjoyed the process of making this, but there is an abundance of footage that I had to go through in order to get this blog posted. Originally it was intended that we would keep it up to date on a daily basis, but it was too busy and the resources/circumstances wouldn't allow for it while we were on the move in Puerto Rico. Thank you for your patience and continued support. As with anything that is new or groundbreaking, there were people that were skeptical about the details of this trip since it was different than anything that’s ever been done before. As a team, we were more excited than anything else, especially once we touched down in San Juan. To be able to play baseball in the best climate for the sport in the world, while also learning from the history, culture, and people that inhabit the island was something we will never forget. Puerto Rico was ready for us all upon our arrival in anticipation of hosting the inaugural Clemente Cup.
