Responsibilities: •Gained an understanding of the behavior management system by shadowing a Mental Health Worker. •Planned and performed psycho-educational groups that met the treatment needs of children ages five to nine. •Assisted with behavior management, which included monitoring patients in group therapy.

• Have been trained on topics including leadership, diversity and inclusion, conflict coaching, being an ally, campus security and authority, fire and safety. • Facilitate and maintain a healthy, safe, and secure environment for residents by conducting health and safety inspections every month and enforcing university policies. • Mediate roommate conflicts by working with the Resident Director to coordinate room changes. • Serve as the Resident Assistant on duty for a residents’ hall of 70 students, enforcing all university policies as stated in the Eastern Connecticut State University Handbook and the Housing Contract. • Serve as a referral agent for residents to campus resources. • Advisor for First Generation Residential Theme Housing. Provide feedback to the e-board on programs proposed; mentor 25 students ensuring a smooth transition into collegiate life. • Design and facilitate six educational programs a semester on topics such as Campus Resources, Study Skills, Diversity and Inclusion, and Community Service. • Propose, evaluate, and assess program successes and areas of growth. • Assist with hiring/evaluation of potential new staff by participating in the RA selection panel under the supervision of Resident Directors and Eastern Connecticut Housing Directors
