Janina Miszkiewicz

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: I'm an artist with an innovative creative edge. I still keep my hand in the traditional arts doing some illustration and paint work in water color and charcoal, but my major skills and talents have developed in the areas of digital media arts, web production and now computer aided drafting. My intuitive ability to understand a client's needs - their business and their projects - enables me to develop a creative solution and impactful media messages for them that works. MY ENTITY My heritage is from eastern Europe, in a small country township called, Chobienia, Poland. As a child, I traveled with my family to North America and settled in upstate New York where I grew up, young and creative, displaying illustrative artistry as early as 5 years of age. I showed a keen eye on shapes and perspectives and in turn contributed my artistic talents throughout my entire school years, painting and sculpting for many school activities and contests. As Class Artist, I became the first ever to be awarded an Art Scholarship from Cohoes High School. During my college days I was drawn to see the country, pursuing my passion of exercising those tremendous race athletes called Thoroughbreds. Meantime, I also continued with my education and received a Master of Fine Arts Degree at the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY, excelling in Communications and Computer Graphics, with studies in both 2D and 3D computer designing. I immediately started working in broadcasting as a graphic designer for the New York Racing Association and later TVG Network, Inc. in LA, CA. I spent my latter years freelancing as a Digital Media Design Artist and learning to design and develop WordPress websites. Currently I am a student at Hudson Valley Community College, studying Computer Aided Drafting, with AutoCAD and SolidWorks projects to add to my portfolio. My final career challenge is to create and design, with an ultimate goal as a 3D Modeler and Animator.
