Undergraduate at the University of Vermont, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a double minor in Geospatial Technologies & Public Communications Tree Campus and Arbor Day Coordinator for the University of Vermont, promoting stewardship, a sense of place, and awareness of trees on campus. My interests are in forest ecology and conservation, outdoor leadership, community outreach, event planning, and mind-body wellness education. Beyond coursework, I am a volunteer leader of mindfulness workshops, co-president of Vermont Students Towards Environmental Protection, a student outdoors leader and trail maintenance and outreach coordinator for the UVM Outing Club, event planner with the Arts, Culture, and Film committee of the UVM Program Board, and a Rubenstein Steward for the Rubenstein School at UVM.

The award was received for my work accomplished in recertifying the University of Vermont as a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. Active member and advisor to the club's leadership. Attended the 2016 New England Society of American Foresters' Conference over spring break, and the 2016 Green Mountain SAF Chapter Meeting. I am assisting on creating the management plan for the stand of forest which the club hopes to manage actively in the UVM Jericho Research Forest. I am helping plan the 1st annual UVM Foresters' Day. I am a student member of the national SAF, and am on the UVM forestry quiz bowl team.

I lead meditations, plan community building events amongst meditation enthusiasts, create events to increase participation in meditation, and work with Living Well to market these events. The group is not an SGA club, but it works through Living Well and Counseling and Psychiatry Services to provide peer mindfulness mentoring to UVM students.

Active member and then Treasurer for VSTEP. Assisted on waste reduction and recycling projects. Leveraged resources to make VSTEP the vehicle to make the Redstone Pines Restoration Project a reality. Managed financial resources and created fundraisers for the club. Developed an action plan for using future membership to continue current long term projects. Collaborated on creating a permanent on-campus thrift shop, to be called Cat Closet.

The Outing Club
Participant, Hiking/Backcountry Skiing Leader, Trail Maintenance Outreach Coordinator Currently work with student groups and non-UVM organizations to create service trips to maintain recreational infrastructure around Vermont using UVM student volunteers. I also lead hiking and backcountry skiing trips in all semesters and am an active member of the leader community, collaborating on ideas that transcend my position titles.
