Jessica Hanks was recognized for earning a scholarshipIn the spring of 2015 I submitted my application to the Women in Leadership scholarship, which is backed by The Huge Foundation and sponsored by Cabela's. Out of over 400 entries, mine was one of 12 chosen to interview in Lincoln, Nebraska. Among those 12, I was one of 4 finalists who received a $10,000 scholarship to be awarded over the course of the next four years.Added by Jessica

Assistant Manager at Kimball Public PoolMay 2015 - PresentRequirements for the job include being certified as a swimming pool operator, in first aid, and CPR. Duties I routinely perform as Assistant Manager include: opening and closing the pool, assigning chores to lifeguards, testing and adjusting the chemicals in the pool water, creating work schedules each month, organizing swim lessons, teaching swim lessons, run training sessions each week, handle candy and ice cream sale orders, politely deal with patrons, positively lead my co-workers, and respectively work with other city employees.

Duties I routinely performed as a lifeguard include: opening and closing chores (putting out and checking equipment, cleaning and disinfecting guard house, cleaning the deck, skimming the water, pulling weeds, etc.), working well with peers, following directions from the managers, working with customers and children, participating in mandatory training sessions each week, and teaching swimming lessons.
