Homeschool Dance Committee

I was in charge of decorations, helped organize the general things such as budgeting and venue, set up photo booth, took photographs, made a Facebook page and uploaded the pictures, helped run the snack booth, ran a face painting booth, made Facebook events, sold tickets, helped organize the selling of tickets and distributed flyers. We hosted one prom a year with informal dances on a monthly basis.

Missions Trips

My church went out to the bush towns of Ekwok, AK and Koliganek, AK. in Alaska. I taught the children in the village about Jesus with a weeklong VBS program. I have been in charge of decorations, teaching Pre-K lessons, leading crafts and leading songs with hand motions.

AWANA Clubs

I have lead Bible study, helped with recreation, listened to and helped students to memorize their verses, and led music. In recent years, I have co-directed the club with my husband. This consisted of much record keeping, flier making, special event coordinating and communicating with parents.

Vacation Bible School - 1 week long afternoon camp every summer. I have helped in several capacities. I have assisted or led in any classroom that needed help, taught 1-6th grade lessons, crafts, recreation, have taken pictures and created the slide show for the end of the week, led songs along with sign language hand motions.

Staff Assistant at U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan of Alaska

Answering phones and constituent questions, logging opinions in database, front desk management, sorting/copying/logging mail and faxes, general organization of office and any other task the staff could use my help in.

Day Care Worker at Kings Kids Child Care

My job was to keep children entertained without letting them harm each other. I also needed to create lessons, activities, and other fun things for them to do while instilling morals and good behavior. I learned the safety rules set up by the Municipality of Anchorage. I set up a schedule each day that I was in charge of a group of children. The job was very fast paced and I needed to be able to think on my feet and alter my plans as I went according to needs. Other things involved were cleaning toys, preparing lunches, changing diapers, etc.

Home Care Assistant at A Friend of the Family

In-Home care for an elderly lady who was unable to walk. Helped her dress, use the restroom, cleaned her house, cleaned her vomit, made her meals, helped her with her exercises and physical therapy on her foot.

Nanny at Davis Household

Working as a Nanny to a household of 4 younger children. Washing dishes, keeping track of children, keeping children entertained, doing laundry, solving arguments, helping teach the children since they were homeschooled, occasionally making meals, running errands, driving children to activities, putting them to bed, and many other things.
