Writer at The Odyssey
Wrote for the Miami section of the online magazine the Odyssey as a student writer. Responsible for weekly production of articles, including brainstorming concepts, writing and production of articles, and editing, formatting, and posting the articles. Stories were driven by students interests and on campus activities, broadening into national and world issues covering broad range of topics. Writing for the Odyssey requires self motivation and organization. The company lives online and operates in the same way, making the job driven by the individual. It's currently a new experience and I'm incredibly excited to learn and grow through the process.

Hostess at Burntwood Tavern
Working as a hostess was actually something I found incredibly invigorating and energizing. The high-paced and demanding restaurant environment kept me on my toes, something I enjoyed and appreciated. The job itself is driven primarily and most importantly by people and communications skills. Being able to communicate with both coworkers, managers, and guests alike is a requirement to success.
