Kelsey Gauen

I developed timely, original and relevant content that I posted amongst many different social media platforms, such as Hootsuite and Tweetdeck. Other key tasks I was assigned include: creating graphics and other promotional materials for staff to pass out at events, lead staff meetings surrounding projects I was tasked and create weekly media plans for organization leadership. At this time, I worked a minimum of 8 hours per week, while still being a full time student.

I am part of a team that conducts cold-calls to solicit donations and has raised over 1 million dollars last fiscal year for various university capital projects. My role includes retention of loyal donors as well as to encourage participation amongst non-donors. Each shift improves my communication, listening and problem resolution skills. I assisted alumni with any questions or concerns while maintaining a polite and positive attitude.

I assisted event managers with last minute fundraising logistics that raised over $200,000 for children and families served by Children’s Home + Aid. A few of my responsibilities included: organizing mass solicitation mailings, creating raffle and auction signage, managing all onsite raffle responsibilities and volunteers, and generally being an extra set of hands for the event management and agency leadership.
