I am a senior at Siena College working towards bachelor's degrees in psychology and Spanish. Currently, I am a public relations coordinator for a non-profit called the Writing Partnership, Inc. I am passionate about many social justice issues, especially those concerning children, poverty, refugees and education. I plan to eventually pursue a career as a licensed clinical social worker and work in the field of mental health counseling.

The Writing Partnership
I work with a non-profit organization that recruits students from Siena College and pairs them with young adult refugees at weekly meetings, where we work together to improve the refugees' proficiency in the English language through writing activities and social interaction. As well as being a student volunteer, I am involved with increasing public awareness of the work that the Writing Partnership does in the Albany community.

Psalm 150 Music Ministry
I am one of the singers in the praise band that serves students and members of the local community at the 7 PM Catholic mass on Sundays at Siena College. Composed of vocalists and instrumentalists and led by Kate Kaufman Burns, Psalm 150 uses Christian hymns to uplift the congregation in prayer and praise God in song.

I work with a non-profit organization based in Albany, New York that works with adolescent immigrants and refugees in the area in order to do increase their English language skills and enrich their education. I am involved with increasing public awareness of the work that the Writing Partnership does in the Albany community. I do so by providing current information on social media sites, frequently updating the content of our website, and keeping our volunteers informed about our weekly sessions and volunteer opportunities that we can offer.

My responsibilities included ringing up purchases at the cash register, assisting customers who came into the store, processing web orders, answering phone calls, taking inventory, arranging displays of new release items, data entry, and assisting in the sale of store items through booths at local conferences, as well as taking photographs of the merchandise and utilizing PhotoShop to improve said pictures for the store's website.
