Kiley Pearl

After graduating in 2013 from Bishop ODowd High School in Oakland, CA I set off to attend college at the University of Alabama. People were surprised that a girl from the San Francisco Bay Area would choose to attend school in the deep south without knowing anyone already there. However, I am the kind of person who enjoys the challenges that come with meeting new people and finding my way around different cities and communities. While at the University of Alabama I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Sydney, Australia the summer before my junior year. I was embarking on another adventure without knowing a soul. Given these opportunities I have had to learn how to be self-reliable and independent when I am put in new situations. I now have the confidence to put myself out there to meet others. I have also enriched myself culturally helping me to recognize other peoples skills, backgrounds, and experiences. All of these traits have helped me become better at my current job and all future challenges and opportunities that come my way.
