I assist in laboratory settings by demonstrating proper technique to students and acting as a role model for less experienced students. I also aid professors in lab set up and preparation by transporting glassware and equipment to the appropriate locations within the department.

I act as a role model for recruits, incoming students, incoming faculty, and attending students on campus by staying involved in campus activities and knowing the ins and outs of the college. I also assist staff in the office by completing office responsibilities assigned to me. These would include, but not be restricted to, filing, filling out postcards, data entry, managing the phone lines, or application sorting. I provide touring services to prospective students or staff, and work large prospective student events such as open houses, accepted students day, scholarship events, etc.

I manage the phone in the office, respond to emails and concerns, file paperwork, organize, provide ideas and creativity to the office and campus events, manage an event during the week, and advocate for the office by spreading the word of upcoming events on campus.
