eMajor Coordinator & Online Faculty Specialist at Darton State College
This position serves as a support for online faculty development and as the eMajor coordinator for the online learning division. -Work with online faculty to address online learning/teaching practices, disseminate research-based best practices and models for online teaching and facilitate access to resources that support them. -Assist online instructors in gathering, analyzing and reflecting on information about their own teaching and student learning. -Help identify potential programs for eMajor collaboration and assist with completion of needs assessments, prospectus, and other paperwork. -Advise eMajor students and contact at-risk eMajor student as necessary and collaborate with other affiliate eMajor advisors as needed. Primary point of contact for eMajor students’ issues/concerns. -Work in coordination with the Director of Online Learning as point of contact for internal oversight for eMajor faculty. -Ensure proper document submission to eMajor Administrative Unit in accordance with eMajor program guidelines; serving as primary point of contact for partnered institutions and for academic notifications and changes. -Work in coordination with the Director of Online Learning to establish and maintain a course rotation schedule to facilitate program planning and graduation and submit intent to modify to affiliate partners and eMajor Administrative Unit (for programs implemented by Darton State). -Evaluate institutional student achievement through eMajor, and use these findings to provide input to the eMajor subcommittee and eMajor Administrative Services in ensuring student success; provide eMajor data as needed to Darton’s IE office for institutional and accreditation purposes
