Student Assistant at Atmospheric Sciences Research Center
The Atmospheric Sciences Research Center is dedicated to enhancing our fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical nature of the atmosphere. I work side by side with faculty on the Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE) Project. The goal is: Building Extreme Weather Resiliency Through Improved Weather and Climate Prediction and Emergency Response Strategies. My duties include assisting in the coordination of study abroad programs for University at Albany students to go abroad to Taiwan and for Taiwanese students to study abroad here in Albany, create social media accounts for the center along with our ASRC field station on Whiteface Mountain in Wilmington, NY, and assist directors and scientists with daily projects. I serve as a first hand student adviser for students by answering study abroad-related questions, help students pick what program best fits what they are looking for, log in application materials, present study abroad information in class visits throughout the semester, tabling events, and orientations.
