Currently a senior at the University of Vermont, I am a student in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences expecting to earn a B.S. in Animal Science May 2015. I have sought out experiences to deepen my knowledge in animal health and husbandry, having the career goal of becoming a small animal veterinarian. My love for animals is not species-specific, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the animal industry through working with dairy cattle, wildlife, exotic species, and companion animals. Working in Washington DC, I am developing an understanding for legislation affecting animal agriculture, becoming an advocate for animal welfare and farming.
