Elizabeth Brigham

Majoring in Communications, Minoring in Art
University at Albany, Class of 2018
From Whitesboro, NY
I began as a Graphic Arts student at Mohawk Valley Community College. Throughout my continuous involvement with the campus and the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa, I began to realize a stronger passion beyond Graphic Arts. I grew attached to the art of communication, public relations, public speaking, and social networking. I found myself achieving more in these areas outside of the classroom and beyond Graphic Arts. I have now made a decision to continue my education in these areas when I move on to achieve my Bachelor's Degree.

Blogger at The Odyssey
I blog weekly for my hometown community in Utica. As much as I care about UAlbany, I am aware of how I want to move back into my community after I graduate, so now I am getting myself more involved with them. I love writing articles that people can relate to. If anything, I want my articles to be able to help people with whatever it is they are going through because then they know at least someone out there understands them. https://www.theodysseyonline.com/@lizbrigham

Tour Guide at University At Albany
I love showing prospective students what could happen at UAlbany if they attend. After working all summer as an Orientation Leader, I wanted to invite more people into the University and give them a helping hand in doing so. Being a Tour Guide here allows me to do that. I switch between giving tours and facilitating the front desk. I enjoy both positions as they both give me a different experience of different career paths I could take.
