August, 19 2015 - Verified by SUNY OneontaMy summer was spent at the IBM CHQ, as a corporate media monitoring intern.
My specifics dealt in finding any information regarding IBM and its competitors, setting it up in the correct format, and sending it out to the respective departments.
I would also aid in reviewing press releases, add photos, create thumbnails, and even publish them at the according time. I would also act quickly when any updates had to be made.
I had projects that were time dependent, and always made sure to send them out correctly and on-time.
I worked as a Diner hostess throughout my college breaks. I quickly adapted and learned that the job was about multitasking: run the cashier, seat patrons, help in the kitchen, bring coffee, and fix any urgent problems.
I always made sure that no matter the situation, I would always welcome guests and see that their experience at Table Talk was always pleasant.
I was part of a Youth Leadership organization while in high school, and made connections with Nick Shannon who is the Executive Director of The Chamber Foundation of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce. Through him, I landed an internship with Audra Gerty, the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. I worked throughout the summer with her, helping her out in organizing payroll, calling many sponsors of the foundation on the phone, and joining her in meetings with the CEO.
