Madeline Hagen

Majoring in Physics Computational Physics, Minoring in Mathematics And Computational Science
Siena College, Class of 2019
From Delmar, NY
I am a Junior Physics Major at Siena College with minors in Mathematics and Computational Science. I am a research assistant on two particle physics projects. One is a search for forbidden decays of the top quark and the other is an analysis of a new detector design for the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at CERN. I also work with two desktop particle detectors. I have created my own version of MIT's $100 Muon Detector. I have contributed to the design of and outreach with Siena College's Turn-Key Cloud Chamber that uses Peltier thermo-coolers as opposed to dry ice. I am interested in attending graduate school in physics contributing to a project where I can combine my interests in hardware and data analysis.
