Serves as EPA's recognized international expert on karstic terranes and water-tracing studies. Develops research projects related to the fate and transport of hazardous constituents from hazardous waste sites. Also developed a national expertise on karst hydrogeology and geomorphology of tropical islands. Acts as a hydrogeological consultant to EPA regions and states regarding the fate and ransport of hazardous constituents from hazardous waste sites located in karstic terranes as they relate to risk assessments.
