YWCA Ames-ISU
The YWCA in Ames is a volunteer program all about empowering women in today's society. Twice a month we have meetings, where everyone in the organization comes together and participates in activities that relate to what teenage girls experience in life. Another important part to this program is having 1:1 time with your mentee for at least two hours each month. The YWCA mentor program has been a great opportunity for me and has shown me how much I can make a difference in someone else's life.

Technology Intern at Gilbert Middle School
I have been given the opportunity of being a technology intern at Gilbert schools. The primary building that I have been assigned to is the middle school; however, I have also been around to the other schools as well to help out with technology issues. I have presented various applications and web 2.0 tools that the teachers are able to use in the classroom during professional development meetings. Along with this, I have learned how to fix Chromebooks if they are broken, clean projectors, and update iPads as well.

Childcare Provider at Babysitter
Throughout the years, I have been a babysitter for multiple families, with kids ranging from 1 to 12 years old. I have had to cook, clean, drive to practices, etc. for each family. Having all of these experiences is what has really inspired me to become an elementary teacher.
