Melanie De Lima

Melanie is a junior at Ithaca College. She is currently majoring in Television-Radio with a concentration in Media Production and a Journalism Minor. Melanie will also be studying abroad in the Ithaca College New York City Program (ICNYC) for the Spring 2016 semester. Outside of the classroom she is a member of the Ithaca College Television (ICTV) and a contributor for Ithaca Colleges award winning radio station (WICB & VIC). She is also a reporter for WICB News radio magazine Ithaca Now. Melanie is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists at Ithaca College (SPJ) and ICs Park Productions. Besides the media industry, she is also involved as the current Vice-President for Ithaca Colleges International Club and has volunteer experience as the Vice-President for Ithaca Colleges Red Cross Club. She was recently awarded with one of Roy H. Park Named Scholarships: Jessica Savitch 68 Communications Award and is currently a Barista for the Business School Caf. Melanie is presently looking for internships in the area of broadcast journalism for this upcoming summer and next years spring preferably in the area of New York City.
