Michael Laviolette

I have a passion for helping people realize their full potential and reach their goals. I love when someone doubts themselves and I can facilitate them going above and beyond what it is they thought they could not do. I not only love to see the joy this brings people, but also the change in mindset and the appreciation for hard work that accompanies these accomplishments. I was fortunate enough to be able to pursue this passion as a piano instructor for eleven years. I was able to bring the joy of music into peoples lives and watch them do things musically that they thought they could never do. I felt however, that I was not doing enough. I felt that I needed to help people in a more profound way. This feeling led to me to re-enroll in school in pursuit of my doctorate of physical therapy. The journey toward becoming a physical therapist has allowed me to build an amazing network of supportive people who I learn from every day. It has afforded me the opportunity to be able to continue to help people achieve. I still get to use my hands to help people, but it is through evidence based practice to facilitate healing instead of music to entertain. I am excited to use what I have learned through school and my clinical rotations to help people stretch beyond their movement goals to improve their lives.
