Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and hit-the-ground-running conservation biologist with a wide array of experiences including: mentoring, managing, and motivating staff; organizing schedules/routines for efficiency and effectiveness; progressing multi-party projects through careful planning, coordination, and follow-through; developing and delivering high-energy standardized environmental education programming and interdepartmental training with enthusiasm and clarity; providing high quality, ethical animal care; managing animal records and permits/licenses. Firm and passionate believer in the idea of teaching people about environmental issues to inspire responsible and active stewardship. Strong emphasis on open, honest communication as a basis for building trust and empathetic relationships. Currently using industry experience as well as organization & communication skills to develop and operate the Living Collections department at the California Science Center.
