Naim Colbert

I am a college student-athlete studying Finance and Economics. Very early in my education, I realized that I have a passion for understanding my finances. My passion for finance goes beyond how I can simply obtain an abundance amount of money, but more importantly, how it works, how it dictates market structures, and how I can use my knowledge of it to make a significant impact towards my community. I plan to use my knowledge, tools, experience, and faith to be in a position where I can help those in need of their financial awareness. Being apart of the Student Investment Team, where I currently serve as the Administrative Executive, has enhanced my passion and knowledge of understanding finance. Through the investment team I have strategically created a precise and well detailed Investment Policy Statement, researched and analyzed a specific sector, pitched stocks in a professional team setting, and have reported the teams current holdings and performance to a Board of Directors. These experiences have enabled me to learn how to formulate investment strategies, analyze the market, and research different asset classes. Through my experience playing collegiate football I have developed skills of being very detailed oriented, competitive, passionate, and self driven. Among other skills, my football career has also given me vast experience in working, training, and striving towards a goal in a diverse team environment.
