Lease Restructuring Analyst at Hilco Real Estate L.L.C.
Hilco Real Estate is a trusted strategic advisor to Fortune 1000 corporations, the nation’s largest financial institutions, and some of the largest companies in North America. Hilco Real Estate is a trusted strategic advisor to Fortune 1000 corporations, the nation’s largest financial institutions, and some of the largest companies in North America. Throughout my internship, I worked with the lease restructuring team at Hilco. I helped organize and manufacture deal structure for renegotiated lease terms, making me the point of contact for the client and our team. I sat in on negotiations between the biggest landlords in the United States and our Hilco team as we negotiated the deal terms for our clients. I relayed messages and mediated discussion via email between our clients, which consisted of major retailers, and the Hilco team. The entire experience was beneficial for a multitude of experiential standpoints, including: work, negotiation, organization, MS Office, communication, professionalism, strategic planning, listening, learning, etc.
May 2015 - August 2015
Principal at Lovable Lifters, LLC
Along with a friend, I created an LLC, Lovable Lifters, after recognizing a need and opportunity within my community to provide a handyman service while employing college students during the summer. We ran the business from top to bottom and performed all tasks including: accounting, customer relations, administrative tasks, marketing, business development, legal and financial documentation, etc. I learned the ins and outs of what it takes to start a business, including, but not limited to: meeting with lawyers, opening bank accounts, insurance costs, expansion, and hiring employees. Unfortunately, while at school the business was difficult to sustain from a distance, so we dissolved in 2014. However, the experience was invaluable.
