Natalie Valentine

I am a passionate and driven student, pursuing a career working with children and families who are experiencing trauma and bereavement. I am fascinated by the impact of trauma and grief on child development and feel led to provide support to children and families experiencing these situations. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama, double-majoring in Human Development & Family Studies, with a concentration in Child Life, and Early Childhood Education, with a concentration in Early Childhood Development. My coursework provided me with a vast understanding of typical child, adolescent, adult, and family development. To fulfill degree requirements, I completed a child life internship at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Currently, I am searching for a child life position in the Emergency Department or PICU of a children's hospital and pursuing my graduate education.
