From Milwaukee, Wisconsin
I'm a student and computer programmer with a passion for algorithm design/analysis and problem solving. I'm skilled in Java and C++ but thoroughly enjoy learning new languages to implement solutions to problems. Some of my favorites include SML and Scala.
I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and hold a 3.9 GPA. I've made Honor Roll and Dean's List every semester, and was accepted into an integrated undergraduate/graduate program which has allowed me to take graduate level classes at UWM since the summer of 2016. I will graduate in the spring of 2017.
Colleagues know me to be a strong self learner with a dedication to conquer tasks and goals. My hobbies include chess and various strategy games, as well as various puzzles such as Rubik's cubes and KenKens. I love computer science because it's an abstraction of all the things I've always loved to do, and is the ultimate tool to discovering creative, clever solutions.
I would love to work with you to solve problems together, and can best be reached through my email at pbnewman@uwm.edu.
