Charles Pitman

Self-motivated, Studious, Inquisitive, Dedicated An undergraduate student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with an interest in Database, IT Security, and Big Data expected to graduate in May of 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Information Science. I am seeking a summer internship to apply my studies while expanding my skill set and knowledge to increase company productivity and reputation. I enjoy giving back to the community any way I can! During my freshman year at UALR, I was awarded for my studies, and the next year I became a student ambassador assisting other current students on many college lower-level classes. I am also a proud Chancellors Leadership Corps Scholar with numerous volunteer hours within in different organizations within the community such as Boo at the Zoo and BEST Robotics. I am the current Vice President of SOCIS which is also known as the Society of Computing and Information Sciences, which is an student organization meant to bring those who have an interest in technology together in a fun and positive environment. Since my involvement in the club, we have seen companies from central Arkansas provide representatives as guest speakers to discuss the technologies they use within (but not limited to) the workplace such as the programming language COBOL and Raspberry PI.
