Resident Assistants (RAs) are asked to implement a balance of high quality educational and community development events for their floor and building. A significant task for the RA is to provide or support activities that assist students in developing a sense of belonging with the other members of the residence hall. Among the duties assigned are those involving routine paper work and other administrative tasks needed to help a community run efficiently. These tasks may include, but are not limited to, the completion of individual room and public area condition reports, and documentation of inappropriate behavior. Resident Assistants also have regular rotating duty coverage of their building or unit on weekdays and weekends. Resident Assistants provide and encourage experiences contributing to beneficial outcomes for their individual residents and the living unit as a whole.

UELA is a two-year commitment during which members graduate from three tiers: Tier I: Personal Leadership Tier II: Peer Leadership Tier III: Community Leadership The Advisory Council is the Executive Board for UELA, which is comprised of 8-10 students and a faculty advisor. The purposes of UELA Advisory Council are as follows: The Retention and Connections Director of the Advisory Council has the following responsibilities: Serve as the coordinator for the UELA Mentors Program Coordinate events for all UELA members to participate in throughout the year Work with the Operations Director to manage all measures of accountability related to service hours and endorsed forums Build connections between UELA and other student groups on campus Build connections between UELA and off-campus organizations, specifically related to service opportunities

Student Managers for the Lady Aces Women's Basketball Team have numerous responsibilities such as the following: laundry duties including washing and drying towels, practice clothes and uniforms; attend practices to run the clock and participate in drills when needed, attend home games to fulfill a variety of duties including film, statistics, and attend to player needs. Student Managers are considered members of support staff to the athletics program at the University of Evansville.
