Collections Specialist1. Coordinate the collection activities of multiple campuses in multiple states with 5 indirect reports. Primary internal/external liaison for all in-active student account inquiries. Serve as mentor to other colleagues and as a resource to management and other departments. 2. Assist in reviewing, refining, and establishing procedures to encourage payment and to continually improve collections policies regarding overdue balances. 3. Reduced untimely billing write offs by ensuring that all over due student account receivables are collected within established time constraints. 4. Audit accounts to ensure billing accuracy and validity. Build financial reports and queries utilizing enterprise resource management software database and Microsoft Excel. 5. Responsible for maintaining compliance with institutional, federal, state, and local billing and collection requirements, and bankruptcy proceedings. 6. Directly communicates with all internal university departments and third party payment plan providers and outside collection agencies regarding delinquent accounts. 7. Provide high level customer service and maintain positive internal relationships. 8. Posted financial rosters (federal loans, federal grants, state grants, institutional aid, and outside scholarships). 9. Posted daily transactions to General Ledger. 10. Perform daily refund export of all student refunds. Verify all transactions. Provide financial reports. 11.
