I am a student at the University of North Georgia that is currently pursuing further education in the fields of remote sensing, geo-statistics, and geographic information systems. My areas of focus are environmental planning, ecosystem preservation and energy management. As a continuing student I keep self educated in Sql databases, scripting, and open source software. I have experience in remote sensing and spatial database design . I would love to dive deeper into the world of remote sensing, Object based image analysis, and Human geography. For my work with UNG I have done geo-referencing, data acquisition, image analysis, and orthorectification. Primarily with modern and historical orthophoto's and satellite imagery. A short term goal for myself would be gain experience in the field to strengthen my skill set through experience and conferences. A long term goal would be further education and becoming professor at a university. Earning My GISP is also a goal i have. I have a passion for modern philosophy, drones, 3D printing, opensource software, participatory GIS and Sociology.

Remote sensing Research assistant at University of North Georgia

I work for Dr. J.B. Sharma on the Historical photo project for UNG. My responsibilities include finding flight paths, Geo-rectifying and ortho-rectifying historical aerial images, and working with digital elevation models. Some coding goes into making it available for public viewing a link will be added soon. This is done with eCognition and Erdas Imagine software. Responsibilities •Acquisition and digital processing of aerial images of North Georgia . • Scanning historical photos to be orthoretified and georectified • Working on rule sets for object based image analysis for land type/use classification • Processed and mosaic Lidar data Currently I am Changing projects to work with Google Earth Engine and python on a new project which I will update details as soon as possible.
