Hixson Opportunity Award 2015 Adair County Hixson Scholar This program will provide 100 undergraduates with half-tuition scholarships (estimated value of more than $16,000 over eight semesters). Selection is based on the student's county, eligibility and potential as demonstrated through the application, letter of recommendation, and financial need analysis. Students may major in any curriculum and must maintain a 2.00 cumulative grade point average for renewal. One award per county.

Academic Recognition Award (ARA) The Academic Recognition Award is automatically awarded to all Iowa residents who have been offered admission to Iowa State as freshmen entering directly from high school and who rank in the top 15 percent of their graduating class. ARA Level I: $8,000 $2,000 per year for 4 years* Requirement: Rank in the top 10 percent of graduating class or rank position 1 or 2.

Frank G. Oliver Endowment Scholarship This award is offered to full-time undergraduate students. Selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, was founded in 1929 with the purpose of encouraging academic excellence and advancement of psychology. The Iowa State University chapter of Psi Chi, chartered in 1929, was one of the first initiated in the country. Our chapter is one of 1,090 across the USA, Canada, and Ireland. Minimum qualifications for membership: Completion (not including current semester) of 3 semesters of college course work Completion (not including current semester) of 1 semester at ISU Completion (not including current semester) of 9 semester hours of psychology Major or minor standing in psychology Cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 and rank in upper 35% of class Psychology GPA of at least 3.00 High standards of personal behavior Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.
