Seth Tatom

I seek to attend law school in Texas, and plan to pursue a career in civil litigation or other adversarial, non-family civil law. I enjoy the fine minutiae of the law, and have a strong passion for the Socratic method and rational argument as would be employed in the courtroom. Since a young age, I have desired a career as an attorney. My father became a partner in his firm after only a few years, and I hope to follow in his footsteps. I am a non-traditional, self-supporting student. I was forced to withdraw from college in my second semester of Freshman year, during Spring of 2010, due to health issues. After recovering, due to financial difficulties I entered the work force, but I struggled to find employment with a schedule that would allow a return to classes. After transitioning to Centennial Title, LLC, a real estate title insurance company, I was able to take a full-time course load of primarily night and online classes, as well as some daytime classes with permission from my supportive employer. My schedule finally forced me to resign from Centennial Title for part time employment, to better focus on my education.
