Work Experience

Counselor/Lifeguard at Dragonfly Forest

Performed required duties as a camp counselor and lifeguard for a camp that provides children with special needs a camp experience that they could not get elsewhere. The camp assists children with 22Q, Autism, Persistent Asthma, and blood disorders like sickle cell and hemophilia. Also assisted with the first year of a vocational skills training program run by the camp during one of the week-long sessions.

Lifeguard/Assistant Swim Coach/Assistant Water Polo Coach at River Forest Country Club

Performed typical lifeguard duties as well as routine maintenance of the pool. Assisted as a coach for the inaugural year (2013) for the River Forest Riptide Swim Team. Ran workouts and helped improve racing technique. Assisted as a coach for the inaugural year (2014) for the River Forest Riptide Water Polo Team (briefly).

Intern at Autism Society of Illinois

Performed typical intern duties, from stuffing envelopes to running errands. Started the first high school chapter of the Autism Society of Illinois at York Community High School in Elmhurst, IL. Recruited other Chicagoland high schools to found their own chapters. Assisted in the redesigning of the Autism Society of Illinois website using Wordpress.
