Building Manager at Iowa State University
The main function of this position is to oversee and lead a group of students in the process of setting up, tearing down, or transitioning the event spaces within the Iowa State Memorial Union. It involves projects with quick turn around and numerous daily deadlines to meet. Extensive knowledge of the event space and equipment is required, as we are direct contacts for customers. Other responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the building, reorganization of storage areas, providing security to the building, and providing emergency situation leadership.
