Alexis Baird

I am a junior at Cedarville University, located in Southwest Ohio. I am pursuing a B.A. in Applied Communication with minors in Bible and Christian Ministry. After graduating in May 2019, I am seeking to pursue a career in event planning. With almost three years of experience planning student events at Cedarville University, I quickly learned how much I love to brainstorm event concepts and see them through to execution. The events I have planned at Cedarville University are focused around the idea of building community among the student body. Examples of the events I have been a part of planning include SoFresh and JS. SoFresh is an annual on-campus party for Cedarville freshman and sophomores to celebrate the end of the year. JS (Junior Senior Banquet) is Cedarville's biggest, off-campus event. It is a formal banquet to honor the students of the senior class through a night of dinner and dancing. Each year, the event averages an attendance of 800 students and faculty. Some of my other passions include leadership development, discipleship, youth ministry, meeting new people, and having a conversation over a great cup of coffee.
