I am a rising senior in the College of Arts and Sciences at Lehigh University, majoring in Economics and minoring in Applied Mathematics, with plans to graduate in May 2017. I study Economics because I find it fascinating how invisible forces can shape our world. After spending a semester in Germany studying the EU, I have become increasingly interested in government, public policy, and the public sector. Currently, I am interning at JP Morgan Chase's Tax Oriented Investments group in Chicago, which has peaked my interest in the financial sector. As I begin to search for full-time employment to start my post-grad career, I hope to be able to combine these three interests.

Tax Oriented Investments Intern, Direct Affordable Housing at JPMorgan Chase & Co.

-Analyzed insurance and permanent loan information using Microsoft Excel and internal J.P. Morgan applications (“HIMS” and “TOI Central”) for a portfolio of 800+ Section 42 “LIHTC” (low income housing tax credit)affordable housing equity investments. -Prepared risk rating, cash flow, DSCR, and tax credit recapture analyses for 200+ property risk ratings for Asset Management portfolios consisting of $350 MM and presented the findings to senior management. -Gained significant experience and knowledge with the financial, tax, and legal implications of affordable housing financing. -Participated in monthly investment committee meetings with the senior leadership team to analyze market conditions, trends, and their impact on the portfolios.
