Brandon Douglas

My name is Brandon Douglas and I am a recent 2017 graduate from Simpson College with a Bachelor in Music for Music Education. Upon graduation, I am looking for a teaching position or another position to learn and grow as a professional. I am looking to perform as a singer for opera, musicals, and other professional opportunities. My performance experience includes operas, such as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Sam Kaplan in Street Scene, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, Mr. Enoch Snow in Carousel, Don Basilio in Marriage of Figaro, and more. I have performed in a variety of operas, musicals, and plays both as an actor and as a technician with set construction, lighting, sound, and painting. With teaching experience, I have been a private voice teacher, music tutor, and helped students with education course work. I have worked with many companies and organizations with various positions and leadership roles. I have worked with the Des Moines Metro Opera, Vector Marketing, Boy Scouts of America (Eagle Scout), Order of the Arrow (Vigil Member), and several more. I was recently the Public Relations Chair for the Kappa Theta Psi Fraternity and President for Simpson Men of Music, both of which are on the Simpson College campus.
