Ben Agee

As a former college athlete, it was critical to develop strong time management skills to balance the rigor of a physics major and the time demands of the men's basketball team. When I decided to become a dual major, adding a computer science major, I elected to leave the sport to focus my full attention on my academics. Since that time, I've made dean's list consistently. My coursework, and particularly my hands-on labs/projects, have allowed me to exercise my teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills and expand my portfolio of technical and programming skills. While my degree program is not a formal engineering program, my experiences in a 4-year high school engineering track (PLTW) and my lab experiences at McDaniel have exposed me to many engineering practices and principles. My work experience to date has not been in a technical area, but it has allowed me to develop skills in leadership, flexibility, cooperation, planning and organization skills that are valuable in any domain.
